KCP Ikebukuro Dorm
The KCP Dorm for the Summer full-term program is in Ikebukuro. It is also a ten-minute walk from the Ikebukuro station’s c3 exit. The video on the right is from the c7 exit because I prefer taking an escalator.
From the dorm to the school, it takes between 15 minutes to 30 depending on how good you are at planning. The school pays for your trip from Ikebukuro station to Shinjuku Gyoen Mae.
They pay this in 3 different ways. When you first come, they give you a bunch of 165 tickets for the first month.
If you want to use the Kanamecho station you have to feed the ticket into a machine and add 30 cents to it.
After that, they give you a commuter pass that lasts for one month, which lets you to get off between Ikebukuro and Shinjuku Gyoen Mae as many times as you want and at the four other stops in-between.
If you want to ride from Kanamecho, you have to pay 165 yen extra.
The last way they pay for your transport via a bag of cash.

The room itself is small, but you really don’t need any more room then the room they give you as long as there is only one person in the room. Even though I have so much space, the room did not come with lots of way to organize stuff.
The Room
Our kitchens are composed of a burner, and only a burner.
The kitchen in the lounge is no different.
The bed rooms come with one pillow with its case, and a comforter for the futon bed. My room happened to have a bunch of hangers and a can-opener. The room did not come with toilet paper. When you first move in, you have to check and make sure everything looks like it’s working. For my room, my light switch had only 3 light levels, when it was supposed to have 4
The lounge is quite small and the first day we arrived, all of us had to crowed into the room, and not everyone was able to sit
